Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using WakeFlow (package ai.wakeflow.app), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the application.
Nature of the service
WakeFlow is an intelligent alarm clock, morning routine planner, and sleep assistant designed to help you wake up and organize your day. It operates locally on your personal device and relies on device hardware (battery, speakers), operating system scheduling (such as Android AlarmManager), and optional third-party online services (such as weather, traffic routes, and AI models).
Disclaimer of warranties ("AS IS")
WakeFlow is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no representations or warranties that:
- The alarm will ring uninterrupted, error-free, or precisely on time under every hardware or operating system condition (including device power-off, drained battery, aggressive vendor battery optimization, task killers, or third-party audio interruptions).
- Commute and traffic adjustments, public transit schedules, or weather forecasts are 100% accurate, complete, or free from real-time road conditions and unforeseen delays.
- AI-generated summaries, overnight message digests, routine recommendations, or natural voice playback will always be error-free, complete, or uninterrupted. AI models may occasionally misinterpret prompts or omit details; always verify critical calendar events or messages directly in their source apps.
- Astronomical sunrise and Fajr prayer time calculations are approximations based on standard mathematical formulas and coordinates. For religious obligations or fasting (such as Ramadan Imsak/Fajr), always verify times against your local official mosque timetable.
Medical, health & safety warnings
WakeFlow is a lifestyle and productivity utility, NOT a certified medical device or clinical healthcare service:
- Sleep tracking & medication reminders: Sleep duration, sleep scores, sleep debt, and bedtime suggestions are algorithmic estimates for personal wellness only and do not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical or sleep disorder. Alarm templates such as "Take my pill" or water reminders are convenience aids only; never rely solely on WakeFlow for life-sustaining or critical medication schedules.
- Photosensitive epilepsy warning (Flashlight option): The optional flashing camera torch ("Flashlight") and high-contrast alarm visuals emit pulsing light that may trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy or light sensitivity, even without a prior history. Do not enable the Flashlight option if you or anyone nearby has a history of seizures or epilepsy, and discontinue use immediately if you experience dizziness or visual discomfort.
- Physical wake-up challenges: When completing physical challenges ("Walk steps", "Shake phone", or "Scan a code" in another room), always pay full attention to your physical surroundings (stairs, dark rooms, obstacles, or slippery floors). You assume full responsibility for your physical safety while moving with your device.
- Lock mode & emergency access: The optional "Lock mode" keeps the alarm challenge screen focused until solved to help heavy sleepers wake up. Android system emergency calling (SOS on the OS lock screen) and hardware power controls remain governed by your operating system. Do not enable Lock mode if you require unrestricted instant access to other apps while an alarm is ringing.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer, authors, or WakeFlow be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the application, including but not limited to:
- Missed flights, trains, ferries, medical procedures, surgeries, job interviews, critical work shifts, or academic examinations.
- Loss of employment, wages, business contracts, profits, commercial opportunities, or personal reputation resulting from a delayed or unplayed alarm.
- Mission-critical events notice: For vital events where lateness causes severe consequences, you must always set a secondary, independent backup alarm on another separate device.
- Cumulative liability cap: In any circumstance, our maximum aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the total amount you actually paid for WakeFlow Pro in the past 30 days (or €0 / $0 if you use the free version). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer law.
User responsibilities, device setup & friend consent
To ensure alarms fire correctly and features are used lawfully, you are solely responsible for:
- Keeping your device sufficiently charged and connected to power overnight.
- Granting all required permissions (such as "Alarms & reminders", "Full-screen notifications") and disabling aggressive vendor battery savers or auto-kill restrictions (such as MIUI / HyperOS or Samsung sleeping apps).
- Ensuring your alarm volume is set to an audible level and not muted by external hardware or silent switches.
- Third-party consent for "Message a friend": If you enter a friend’s phone number for wake-up accountability alerts (manual or automatic SMS), you represent and warrant that you have obtained their explicit prior consent to receive such messages, and you agree not to use this feature to spam or harass any person.
Subscriptions, trial & cancellation
WakeFlow Pro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription processed securely through Google Play:
- Free 7-day trial & invite rewards: The 7-day Pro trial requires no payment card, can be used once per device (removing and installing the app again does not start it again), and expires automatically without charging you. Referral reward weeks (7 free days per invited friend, up to 12 times per year) have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.
- Billing & auto-renewal: Paid subscriptions are charged to your Google Play account upon confirmation and renew automatically unless cancelled in Google Play at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- How to cancel: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the Google Play app: Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → WakeFlow Pro. Uninstalling the app does not cancel an active subscription.
- Refunds & EU/EEA right of withdrawal: Refunds are handled according to Google Play refund policies and mandatory consumer laws (including the 14-day EU/EEA statutory withdrawal rules for digital subscriptions). By purchasing WakeFlow Pro and immediately accessing Pro digital features, you consent to immediate performance of the contract.
Your monthly usage
WakeFlow Pro includes a monthly usage allowance for the features that run on WakeFlow’s servers. It belongs to your subscription: one allowance on every device where you use it. Removing and installing the app again does not reset it. It keeps the service affordable and protects it from abuse. You can see what is left, as a percentage, in the app (Settings and My Pro account).
- What uses it: AI chat (planning an alarm by chatting), AI-written summaries (at most 2 a day, morning and evening), the natural voice reading a summary, the AI coach, calculating a route for an “Arrive by time” alarm, and the “Earlier for traffic & weather” check of an alarm (once a morning).
- What never uses it: alarms and everything they do, the weather, summaries and coach messages written on your phone, your phone’s own voice, templates, routines, sleep and insights.
- How it is counted: each use counts by what it costs to run at that moment. Simple chat messages that WakeFlow’s own rules understand count nothing. What is left does not carry over to the next month.
- Pace: if you use it much faster than the month allows, the natural voice pauses for a day or two and your phone’s voice reads instead.
- Abuse protection: there are also daily limits per subscription or device, far above normal use, so no one can overload the service.
- When it is used up: your phone’s own summary and voice take over, AI chat and route checks pause, and your alarms always keep working. It is full again on the 1st of every month.
- Trial and free version: the 7-day trial has its own, smaller allowance for its 7 days. Without Pro these features are not available, except the guided first alarm.
- Changes: we may adjust the allowance to keep the service fair and sustainable, and we will update these terms when we do.
Age rating and eligibility
WakeFlow is a general-audience alarm utility safe for all ages (Rated 3+ for local on-device alarm use), while optional cloud features, AI tools, and paid subscriptions are intended for users aged 16 and older (or with parental consent).
Governing law, severability & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence (such as EU consumer rights). If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. We may update these Terms as indicated by the date at the top of this page.
